Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) destroys disease and infection-fighting cells within the human body and weakens the immune system. Getting tested is the only way of knowing if you have HIV.

Linkage to Care
JH-ERC is committed to referring and linking HIV positive clients into a medical care environment or to re-engage HIV/AIDS clients into medical care services. Through linkage, positive clients will get the support needed to remain physically and mentally healthy while living with HIV/AIDS.
Outreach Services
Outreach Services
HIV/AIDS is life-threatening. There is no cure. The only chance to reduce transmission is through education and awareness. JH-ERC will assist with minimizing the spread and effects of the disease through providing outreach service within the Northeast Florida community neighborhoods.

JH-ERC will be engaging with Northeast Florida community residents and businesses for the purpose of achieving long-term and sustainable outcomes, processes, relationships and decision-making to support HIV/AIDS prevention as well as other STIs prevention and awareness.
PrEP/PEP
PrEP/PEP
A daily pill that HIV negative persons can be take to protect themselves from HIV, if you are:
- Using condoms seldom or not at all
- Having sex with more than one partner
- Having sex with people whose HIV status is unknown
- In a relationship with an HIV-positive partner
